| Shoes Can anyone recommend a good brand of dog shoes that don't fall off? I know it's not snowing yet on the east coast but I would like to have them if it snows in January/February. I got two different kinds last year and they would fall off when they walked. I even ordered different sizes and no matter what they would come off. |

I believe there may be shoes that have two velcro strips, one at the ankle and one higher up on the leg. Those may be better? I never tried them out though. Only saw them when I was also researching dog shoes... and then I just scrapped the idea. My only concern is the salt on the sidewalks. But I figure that since I always wash their feet in the tub after they come home anyway, it should be okay. Here they are playing in the snow.. hehe.. https://www.instagram.com/p/BN5gsSgh...cottieandcasie

| I love this video! They look so happy together playing in the snow! Adorable I actually can't wait for it to snow, I love snow! But yeah most of my concern is for the salt :-/ One of mine loved the snow last year but it was a really weird winter here last year... it snowed but it was warm out so I feel like the snow itself wasn't that cold as it was already beginning to melt the second it hit the floor. I think it was like 70 degrees on Christmas Eve last year...in New Jersey so that was crazy. I like the idea of velcro straps, I'm going to keep my eye out for those and give them a try! |

Our snow usually lasts for two days. It's not very cold here, so it usually turns to yucky muddy slush after a few days! If your only concern, like me, is the salt, you can consider using this product call Musher's Secret. I read that you apply it before going out for walks (it's supposed to protect paws from hot pavement in the summer and salt in the winter). Again, this is another product I researched, but didn't end up buying. hehe.. can you tell I read a lot on dog products? Some have suggested that instead of Musher's you can also use coconut oil and it works (almost?) just the same.

| What a GREAT video, two happy pups enjoying the snow, thanks for sharing. My girls now passed all had long coats, they LOVED the snow, I would make snow balls, roll them and the girls would go after them, once the snow balls were in their mouth the snow ball would go poof lol, the look on their faces were priceless. We would return home from our walk and their under coats would be covered with frozen snow balls lol...... We had 5 inches of snow last Sunday, I was too busy clearing my 42 foot long deck all morning so Cody would have a bathroom to use lol, then shoveling my driveway trying to beat the freezing rain they were calling for. I never had time to dress Cody and take him to the back yard to see if he likes the snow...... Last winter we had one big snow fall late in Nov. it was melting the next day from the high temps. and no snow for the rest of the year. Not that I am "looking" for snow lol, but I would like to see if my boy likes playing in it lol.

As active as Cody is and playful in the swimming pool I am sure he will love the snow. Please send us pictures of him in the snow or video if you can. Would love to see that too as enjoyable as it was watching the other two playing it would be fun to see him in the snow as well.

For some reason Casie's hair sticks to snow a lot more than Scottie's. Did Cody's hair snowball up like this lol: https://www.instagram.com/p/BN5h11ghdLp/

| Thanks lovetodream88! I think I might try the high toppers in the smallest size. It seems like those wouldn't fall off so easily! |
