| Floppy ears vs standing up ears I haven't master a small enough picture yet to post but can I ask a favor of those with floppy ear Yorkies? Can you post what they look like as an adult with floppy ears? Max's ears were 1/2 up but I really like the floppy look so kept that heavy puppy hair on them so they didn't go up. Occasionally one goes up but comes down eventually. I'm worried when he's full grown I won't like the look as much as I do now. Would like to compare up or down and trim the hair if I like the look of the ears up more. Thanks! |

| I don't have the floppy ear kind but after having a cockerspaniel im glad I don't. Ear infections were awful for me and painful for the dog. I love the floppy look!!! What I don't know is if Yorkies have the same problem.

| Sweet Kona Precious one too! I see why you like the look. And nice size too. Not too little or too big.

| My first 3 yorkies had floppy eras, I just LOVED the look, then I got my Matese, she had straight HUGE German Shepard ears, I now absolutely LOVE huge straight ears, that's how I got my first little boy Cody. He came to my vet as a rescue, when my vet saw those ears she called me, I had just lost my Matese. Cody's ears reminded my vet of Matese's ears. Cody has a little face with HUGE ears, LOVE them ears lol.

| I think floppy ears are cute but the reason I was drawn to the Yorkshire terrier was the breed standard imagery and because the breed standard states erect upright ears, I would tend to want to encourage that. I love lots of pups who fall outside the standard I mean- how could your heart not melt? but I think as breed advocates who love what the Yorkshire terrier is. we should strive and advocate for the breed standard.

| Both mine have floppy ears. I love it. I think they would look odd with them standing up

| I'm going to have a silly crazy boy... One ear wants to stand up today, only one 😀 Other doesn't appear to care to even try to stand up. If I ever figure how to get a small picture I'll post my little bubble butt. Maybe his ear is waving to me? |
