| Bob Barker Would Be Proud! Ezzy Got Spayed Today! I made the appointment about 2 1/2 weeks ago. She spent the day at the vet. She's so sleepy! |

| When Callie came home after her spay she didn't want to eat or drink or anything just curl up in her crate and sleep until the next morning then she was low key for a week or so. Joey goes to get neutered on the 9th at just a few days after turning 7 months. Hope she feels better soon.

| She should be her lil ole self this morning. If shes a furniture jumper you'll have to keep on eye on her, no jumping on and off furniture / beds. My girls were pups 5 1/2 / 6 mos.old when spayed, that was the hardest part of spaying, keeping them from jumping. Ezzy is a lil cutie.

| As usual Duchess is the odd man out.....when she got spayed, she was ready to play when I went to pick up her.....I actually questioned whether or not they actually spayed her because she was so full of energy when I went to pick her up. In fact when she got home she I had to put her in her expen just to keep her calm. Little stinker. She ate, drink water, and did her favorite thing, look out the window to bark at everything that walks by. You would not have been able to telly she just had major surgery only a few hours ago. Glad you little girl is okay and she will be back to normal in no time. Last edited by yavenay; 08-30-2016 at 04:42 AM. |

| I'm sure Ezzy is happy to go along with anything you ask; she's just so obviously proud, confident and happy to be home--with her very own person...you! She's quite the pretty little peach, isn't she?! |

| Oooooh... She was so miserable last night and earlier this morning. She finally ate and drank this morning, I waited about a half hour after then gave her the pain gel. Within minutes she was begging to go for a walk so that's what we did, shorter, maybe 2 miles instead of our regular 3. She was her chipper self on the walk and even chest bumped her big bro(light play) when we got home. She's taking a nap now, a well earned nap. Thanks for the positive comments and vibes. |

| It's important to watch for signs that they need pain medication.. Within an hour of bringing Piper home from being spayed, she was restless, could not get comfortable, and kept stretching her little neck. When I called my vet, she immediately knew Piper was hurtin' and told me to give her more pain medication right then (not wait two hrs as med bottle said). Dr. also said to give very small doses, but to give Piper pain pills as needed. By providing relief via medication, Pipe was able to relax, rest and sleep--which we all know is one of nature's best cure-alls--mid-day on day three, no more meds, Piper was back to being a goofy girl and FINALLY I COULD REST!!! |

| Happy to hear Ezzy's surgery went well and that she is feeling better today. Whew, 2 miles?! LOL, Max tried to jump the day after being neutered but quickly learned not to. I carried him on his walking route for over a week. Yes, people thought I was nuts.

| Think it sounds pretty normal, don't worry Casie was out cold the day of her surgery. When I brought her home, she crawled into her little crate and plopped down without even turning around to have her head at the crate door. I had to poke her a few times to make sure she was still breathing! Like Ezzy, she was more or less back to her normal self by the next day Because the spay is a much bigger deal surgery than the neuter, I made sure she didn't run/play/jump for 10 full days so she could have a full good recovery! It was a lot harder for me than it was for her lol..

| Right as we started home from walk, something bit, stung Piper's right front foot. She did pretty well in toughening it out (and is absolutely fine), but the way home was pretty much a carry-walk or pack-a-Pipe. And I'm certain I rec'd a "does that dog's feet ever touch the ground" kinda look...It really seemed Piper was enjoying seeing the neighborhood from a different perspective while in my arms. |
