| Put belly bands on these two rascals....they are too ingrained with marking their territory by now....I do not think that is a behavior you will ever be able to change. I use belly bands with "Always Discreet Bladder Protection Pads in the belly bands, rather than some tiny, thin, minimal absorbtion mini pad....that will never work. My males wear these belly bands with the pads inside them.....they go around, calling themselves "marking behind each other", and the pads are super absorbant and wick the wet away from the skin, and protect the furniture....I put a pad on, when they go out every 4-6 hours, I take the pad off but SAVE it because it is hardly even used....after the dogs come back inside, the pad goes back on, and it stays on until bed time at around 10pm....I take the pad off, wash his tummy up well, dry it well, powder puff a little medicated powder on his tummy/teetee area, and put a clean pad on for the night. I have done this for at least 12 years, and it works well for us. Never had any kind of "irritation" problem under the pads....works great, and they are not peeing all over my house, constantly marking behind each other..... |
