Is a rescue Yorkie a possibility?

My wonderful Mimi came to us from a rescue group. Best experience ever. They were so devoted and careful with screening new homes, and carefully matching the right dog. Small dogs, especially yorkies, can need extra time and attention. People think they're just cute, and don't understand how much commitment is needed. So, many great dogs end up in rescue. My girl was 3 yrs old, sweet and petite, and yet had signs of being hit and screamed at, had never stepped on grass, and never gone on walks. Her foster mom spent 3 months giving her love and stability. She is still nervous, but oh, the love and the kisses she gives daily. It's a privilege to be allowed to be her person. I knew when I saw her pic online, she had my heart. So, best wishes, and look carefully.
