| I'm saying good night to my little Chester for the last time. Chester is 16 years 7 months young, blind and can't hear very well. Last night he fell down our stairs and broke his jaw. The vet gave him morphine and gave me the chance to say good bye. I'm so sad but know it's best. He's not in pain but will never be able to eat or drink again. I still feel like maybe there's something I didn't do or maybe he'll be OK in my heart but know I have to be strong for him and not sorry for myself. I need strength but all I can do is cry for him. Looking back I now realize her last two months of life were spent trying to get her to eat, and/or shoving some kind of medicine in her. If yours had PLE, it is definitely genetic, and a good breeder will take those dogs out of their breeding program. I admire your strength in making the tough decision and doing what was right for your baby. Sending prayers and hugs to you. | |

| Thank you to all! We have our two lb Tinker with us. We also purchased a Miniature Schnauzer, lots of maintenance but that's part of the fun having dogs. |

| I just lost my eleven year old boy, Riley, and have been devastated. I am so sorry for your loss and the heartache we share. |

| I know it's hard, but get a new dog right away, it helps! |
