| Tips on growing full coat Hi, I have a 5 month old yorkie named Rosco. We have 3 additional fur babies. I have a question in regards to growing a full coat for our Yorkie. Do you allow the stomach fur to grow long as well or keep it trimmed, if so, to what length for stomach? ? I understand he may not grow to a very long length but I want to try. I'm going to begin the coconut oil on his quality food. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If you need to, you can definitely trim stomach hair. On our girl, we don't trim. But on our Marcel and Wylie, we do trim a bit bc otherwise pee can get on their fur.

| I trim stomach hair on my boys, from about the bottom of the ribcage to the back legs. They didn't really have any hair there, other than the pee string, until they were about 5 years old. Now they seem to be growing more hair, require more trimming. I leave their chest hair. Some people trim deeper into the chest and armpit area.
