| Shocked and upset I am usually not one to post things and more of a lurker but I am in shock right now. I have just learned the breeder I got my beautiful Sakura from has had all his dogs taken away from him and was arrested. It has been 6 years since I got Sakura and he was the one who led me here, to YorkieTalk. He almost didn't let me have her because I had never had had a dog before much less a yorkie. But he was so very nice and explained everything about their care. He seemed to really care for his dogs. I wish I could afford another dog right now to adopt one of those poor babies. I am just so upset right now. My two babies are going to be getting extra cuddles tonight. |

| I am sorry, that must be quite unsettling. At least you got your fur-babies out of that bad situation. |

| Do you know what happened? That really is too bad that he must not have been taking care of them

| Maybe he came upon hard times and didn't know how or were to ask for help. |

| The local news did a little thing on this too. One neighbor was very mean about him having so many dogs while another said he was trying to find homes for them and that he was overwhelmed. Those poor babies. |

| Very sad! Those poor babies. I understand why you be so upset. Devastating. Sometimes things go wrong in the heads of decent people. Glad the dogs are going to have proper care now.

| This all sounds very sad to me too. I think an unfriendly neighbor complained to animal control and the poor man got stuck in an endless loop of legal technicalities. You need money and connections when those people show up at your door.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | how terrible Oh, I am so sorry, What a terrible thing. I can see why you are shocked. At least you found your baby before while he was still a decent breeder. As a nurse, I know sometimes things happen to people when they are ill, stressed, or just aging. Whatever the state of mind your breeder has, I pray all the yorkie babies are safe and find good homes. I would love another pup if they are available for rescue home. I'll say a prayer for your breeder that he recovers soon. I know he must have been a good man when you purchased yours. Live happens. Let the puppies be safe

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | and just another thing I think about you all.... Wow, I was reading this post from Zanny about a her breeder that was arrested. I was so amazed by the kind words everyone had to say here. Not just for Zanny, but for the poor breeder. I love that everyone stuck together and instead of judging this man (who must have been a decent breeder) comments ranged from the neighbor must have caused this man stress, and how tough times might have caused this breeders demise, and happiness that the puppies were safe at a shelter. So many people in this world would be trowing stones at this breeder, glad he was arrested, terrible man. I love the attitude everyone here has in watching out for each other, just like a family should be. Group hug. Thank you. in response to this message: Senior Yorkie Talker Zanny's Avatar Join Date: Feb 2010 Location: Mississippi Posts: 171 Default Shocked and upset I am usually not one to post things and more of a lurker but I am in shock right now. YT 2000 Club Donating Member | We probably will not know the actual truth about their living conditions. But a charge not to provide rabies vaccinations does not in my mind constitute animal neglect. Maybe he titers his dogs. Don't know.

| Most states have laws about how many pups you can have on your property. Maybe he just had too many and got overwhelmed. Still no reason for the babies to suffer, there are places that will help. So sad!
