| Pink Spots on Paw Pads? One of my puppy started to develop these pink spots on his paw and I'm not sure what it's from... It looks little worn out, but he walks both on grass and sidewalk... I make sure sidewalk is not too hot by checking it with back of my hands... Any of you guys dealt with this before? Will it turn black again? It actually been couple months and it's still not going away, I think if anything, its getting worse.. O-o; Last edited by Deviruchi; 03-28-2016 at 10:37 PM. |

| If this has been going on for months I think a vet check is due. Please keep us posted.

| Have you touched the spot? Does it feel different from the other pads? Does he lick his paws? As Matese suggested, if you're concerned, you should get him checked out by a vet. Being overly cautious never hurts. It could simply be some sort of allergy or could be that he's pad pigments are changing. |

| hello all, i did go by the vet before, couple months ago, and they told me it looks like it's just from the rough surfaces. I thought it'd get better if I didn't use sidewalk much and spend more time on grass, but it seems to be getting bigger and bigger... i've asked the breeder too and she think it just looks like it's been worn out she's recommending me doggy boots, and that i should teach him to not to pull.. but i'm in middle of that training. any recommendation for doggy boots? or his paws? (picture attached) noticed yesterday that his back paw is starting to get pink as well i started to put musher's secret but it seems like it's somehow drying his paw out? i didn't put much on it though. arg.. D: i just hope he's not in pain. he doesn't seem to be licking it much.. only saw him doing that once so far.. :/ |

| Bag balm works very well. It's in a green tin and you can get it almost anywhere. It was originally (and still) used to moisturize dry and cracked cows udders. This stuff is amazing. Great for everything! I put a dab on my heels then put on socks, go to bed, when I get up... Baby soft feet! Just use a tiny amount, but it will help to not dry out his feet

| I use musher's secret but never had any issue with it drying the pads... I tried dog boots but either M/Z would tolerate them. That's why I ended up using musher's secret. As for boots, I believe one of our YT member sells them and I'm sure you can get much more info on what type/size from her. I believe her sn is AllDogBoots. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong please!!!!!!) |
