| ![]() I am very sorry you lost Baxter, it is a very sad story. I agree that one must be very wary of free dogs with no history or vet report. Even now, I would feel the need to talk with the previous owner and the dog's vet to see what health issues Baxter had. To be apparently healthy and then dying so fast, the affliction must have been dire. Any pet owner who would rehome a dog with such a terrible illness is guilty of severe neglect and should be reported and punished. Hope you find a healthy dog soon and that the pain of the loss is healed soon. |

| ![]() to the original poster, I just re read my post and I don't want you to feel like I am chastising you, because that was not my intention. My last comment was directed to people that are thinking about doing this in the future, many people check out yorkie talk before getting a pup. Unfortunately good quality healthy yorkies can be quite pricey so people will jump at the chance to take a free one only to wind up with very high vet bills and heartache.

| ![]() My heartfelt condolences on losing your precious Baxter, that is just so tragic. I imagine he must have been sick when you got him. I am truly sorry for your loss. Please consider getting another pup from a reputable breeder, you wont be replacing Baxter, but will just be giving another puppy a chance at a wonderful life with you. Big comforting hugs to you.
