I was reading today about hair types

Thanks for the directions on how to post pic! Here is Cooper last week. He will be 5 months on the first of January and is now 3 pounds 2 ounces.

OH, I just reread your post and see that your Cooper and my Lacy were born on the same day! How cool is that? Lacy will also be 5 months old on Jan 1st and she is 3 pounds.

Cooper got a birthday bath. He's been a busy guy today. Funny dog and we love him so!

My two yorkies have completely different hair. My female has thick, soft hair that tangles very easily. It grows fast, but tangles if I don't brush her daily.

My male has silky, smooth and soft hair. His hair does not tangle and I could go a week without brushing him and he would have very few tangles. His is more to the breed standard. It is straight and will grow to the floor if I let it.

My female is the darker one and my male is the lighter one.

Sir Rupert has very soft, cottony fur! His head isn't golden and I don't know if it ever will be. He was 2 in October.

Coover, Khole and Sir Rupert and so cute! I see Coover his hair up in a pony to keep the hair out of his eyes..Dave insists that I cannot put a pony in Cooper! Darn. Since he has the soft cottony fur I may not be able to grow it out. Can you tell me what type of hair cut Sir Rupert has? That may be what I end up doing for Cooper.

I see your from Eastern Washington. We have lots of family in Spokane and Chewlah area. Originally from Kent, but moved 40 years ago to Minnesota.... miss the sound and mountains!

My dog's parents had totally different hair types too. The mother, Daisy, has very soft, thin hair which was forever getting tangled/matted no matter how much we brushed her, especially on her belly, and the father, Oliver, has very thick hair, however, his feels more wiry and rarely has tangles!
My Walter is a bit young at the moment to predict what his hair will be like, but from the sheer thickness of it, I'm guessing he'll be like his dad, but it's hard to tell!

Hey there! Teddy (Sir Rupert) has I guess what is called a puppy cut? Recently, we have been asking the groomer to groom him as short as possible because his fur grows out so fast. He has had a lot of different cuts, though, and these are all in his photo albums. His last cut was December 11 and his last pic was New Year's Eve so you can see how it grows in 2 weeks. Shorter cuts are much easier for sure!

My Bella has a soft, slightly waved coat....her appearance grows fuller as it grows and when she gets groomed she's this tiny little thing underneath
My chase Silky, soft, shine bundle of Joy.... I'm almost jealous!!!
