| New member Hi, I just joined and wanted to say hi to everyone. I have loved Yorkies for years and had a precious lady several years ago but had to place her for several reasons and instantly regretted it. I couldn't get her back because my friend that she was placed with loved her so and couldn't part with her. So I waited a couple of years and adopted a three year old rescued male. He was so scared when I got him and he cowered every time I tried to pet him or hold him. Now he's much more calm and happy and such a good boy. I decided to get a puppy and purchased one from a local breeder(the only one in the area). She is just so precious. What a joy to watch them play together. I could just sit and watch them and laugh for hours. I would like to start a breeding program in a year or two. There is only one breeder in my area and I think that we need another to provide others with this wonderful, playful, and loving breed. |

YT 500 Club Member | welcome and congratulations! Take the time to absorb every bit of knowledge the past posts hold for you before you consider breeding. There's a lot more to breeding than caring for a few pups and seeing them off. Possibly the very reason there aren't many breeders there. But arm yourself with knowledge and thick skin before diving into that one. This is the perfect place to do just that. |
