Not trying to bash anyone here...but seriously, IF indeed this breeder did absolutely NO education don't you agree that is a tad bit off? I only know one side, but definitely can say it sounds off to me.
LadyJane: Oh, no! That's not at all what I meant! I did not intend to be saying that. I just thought Sharon could get more information from the breeder's website if she would like to do so.

That's what I understood...just offering another reference as there is lots of additional information to be had!

There are so many things that breeders should do to educate people taking these pups into their homes...number one being the breed! ... then on to other things such as illnesses to look for. Giardia for one. Just seems you were so unprepared here and it is all a bit mind boggling and sad to me.

I have potential buyers complete an application. And then we talk on the phone several times. Then I ask for vet and groomer references to call. The buyer must provide permission for them to be honest. This is all before I say yes you can buy that dog. I google earth your house and your yard. I google your name, address and phone number. I also contact rescues and Humane Society to question them if they ever heard of you. THEN and only then, will I sell you the dog, and when I will accept a fee for removing the dog from marketing. If you live nearby I want to visit your home or see a video. Also if you are nearby I want you to visit me.

I expect buyers to do their homework. And have lots of questions of me.

Laws have changed and it is no longer called a deposit.

Well, how on earth can one convince a vet that a dog is a Biewer and not a Biewer terrier? It's all so confusing. I guess it really just doesn't matter. I don't even know what the difference is between them. I had kind of wanted Lacy's description to read Bewier Terrier (because that is what I thought she was until yesterday) and didn't want it to say Terrier Mix. I guess I just have to wait until she is spayed, and then the breeder will give mer her registration papers and I can give them to my vet. So in a few months time, after Lacy is spayed, she will have her due resect and not be called a terrier mix. LOL

Don't shoot me people, I am just kidding around.

Just to lighten things up a bit, we had a MONUMENTAL occurrence happen this afternoon. For the very first time, Lacy peed on the UGO pad when I had her playing in the kitchen this afternoon. YEA!!!!! What an awesome little Angel she is. And what a Proud Mama I am. :love:

As a buyer I would be doing the same thing concerning the Breeder. I can't tell you how many times the things I found out about people who I THOUGHT were good breeders turned out not to be. Which has made me decide I'm not too sure I want a puppy.
