| This will be my first Christmas as well; however, I will have to wait until next year to see what the best thing to do is. My baby will be recovering from either Legg-Calve-Perthes surgery or luxating patella surgery (still don't know which one). The vet and orthapaedic vet are a little confused at my baby. Definitely a grade 3 on luxating patellas both back legs; however, the hip x-ray indicated LCP Disease in the left hip. Oddly enough, he doesn't react at all when they manipulate the hip, so we are having to wait a month and get another x-ray to check for degenerative changes in the hip. Praying hard that he doesn't have LCP, because the knees are really bothering him. That he definitely lets them know he doesn't like it when they check the knees. Anyway, his x-ray is December 7 and his surgery will be the next week, so Christmas is taking a backseat at our house this year. |
