YT 1000 Club Member | Make sure you have a crate to put them in while in the car. We drove our 2 pups home (12 hours) and they were in the crate during the drive even though my husband drove. I would have loved to have held them on my lap but I think the crate was a much better and safer solution. We got them out every few hours to potty and walk them around. The crate was big enough for a much larger dog, but small enough to fit in the back seat of the car. They had more than enough room to move around comfortably in it and didn't take up 1/4 of the floor space of it. I lined it with pee pads and a blanket for them and some toys. I had a small dish of food in it but offered them water at stops so they wouldn't spill it. They had the food everywhere in the crate, but it was just dry food so no big deal. When is the trip? Good luck!

| Thanks, Jade, I do have a large crate for them, with a very comfortable blanket, and half a dozen chew toys. :-) The crate will be in the passenger seat, so I can keep an eye on them. I am going to pick up some belly bands and girl diapers for the drive, just in case as I don't want them to pee in the crate. I bought harnesses for them, so will stop often at rest stops and let them go for a walk. It will be an experience! |

| Thanks all! :-) I have to admit to being very nervous, as I have spent a great deal of money on these two pups, and all I have seen is one picture of them each. When I paid for my first pup, (that I ended up not getting because he had elevated kidney levels) his brother cowered in the corner of the create the entire time I was there, and he was shaking, he was so scared. I hope neither of these two will be like that. But if they are, would they likely outgrow their fear, or might they just be a very timid and scared pup? |

| They are beautiful. Be safe as you make your journey home and never take yor eyes off of them. I took mine into the restroom with me. As they get bigger you might consider a car seat, mine love it and are safely restrained. Best of luck |

YT 1000 Club Member | Hopefully they will both be outgoing and wonderful girls. My puppies were amazing from day one! My friend socialized them well and they were used to kids, other dogs and even a cat. They love people and they are very social and well adjusted. I take them lots of places to keep them social. Don't forget that even girl puppies will hump each other when they are little. It is to show who is dominant and not trying to mate with each other. Mine went through a stage where they would be humping each other a lot in an attempt to figure out who was dominant. They have mostly outgrown it and rarely do that now. The will play fight and it will sound like they are really fighting. Once you get used to how it sounds you will know the difference. Mine are wrestling with each other right now. They stand up and fight and wrestle and play. They are so much fun. Do always check on them if they are quiet. They are either asleep or into trouble. They say Silence is Golden, unless you have a puppy, then Silence is suspicious, very suspicious. It is even worse with 2 puppies! LOL Mine did not go in the crate on the way home, they would start barking when they need to go so we would find a place for them. Do try to walk them where other dogs have not been as you don't want them to pick up anything at a rest stop. Good luck and I am so excited for you!
