Breeder pissed at Me😔

I also know of some breeders that use flight attendents, one of my friends that flies for United and loves yorkies has done this several times, this way the flight is free so the FA gets all the money herself. In this case it sounds like the breeder is in the same area so that will probably not be an issue anyway.

I understood what she meant, but how people word their advice and how it is taken is two different things. I am very grateful for everyone this site and she has a very valid point about quality of breeders. This breeder cares a lot about her dogs. They are well taken care of and every review I have received off this site and others from people who own her dogs have been 5/5.

Yes the reviews were mixed. All positive from people who owned her dogs, but in this forum there was debate over her because she had two kennel fires...hence the 50/50.

Thank you so very much for articulating my passion and fervor for this precious breed (that we are loosing right before our eyes, to poor breeding, fly by night "breeders" that throw anything together and sell resulting often times sick little time bomb babies to unsuspecting, ill informed buyers,....cheap puppies certainly do not reflect the enormous amount of time and care and money that a devoted breeder invests in her dogs.) There certainly are people out there that charge outlandish prices for poorly bred dogs, so you MUST do your "vetting" of any breeder you select! But you are short changing yourself if you automatically say that a breeder is overpriced selling her puppies for $2500.00.....you just have no idea the time and quality and care and money invested in your baby by an excellent breeder, and $2500.00 is not a ridiculous amount to charge for a healthy baby that is at least 14 weeks old and has had all its vaccinations........and comes from a reputable breeder with reputable lines. It is this reason that most fly by night greeders dump babies at 6-10 weeks of age....no expenses to cut into their profit margin!

I'm new to the forum but when i was reading this thread and I read yorkiemom1 post......I read it as her responding to the other poster about what was a reasonable price for a well breed yorkie.

I don't think her response was directed "at" you my darling.

I am so happy that the breeder you found treated you so well and sounds like a loving and caring woman.

Finding our babies is exciting and stressful. When we are searching for these little fur butts we are initially stepping out on faith because we are buying the breeder. The breeder is stepping out on faith entrusting these little lives to us. She saw something very special in you babe and she handled the situation in a beautifully...... xoo

Her first response wasn't, but her follow-up was. 'One more thing I want to say........if that breeder is worth the sweat on her brow, she will accept your decision to back out of the possible deal for that puppy....what reputable breeder wants to sell one of her precious babies to someone that has changed their mind?' That was directed at me, and also gave me the iimpression that she was questioning my integrity because I had considered not getting the puppy, and also the breeder if she didn't let me back out. Whether it was meant that way or not, that's how I interpreted the post.The good news is, I really don't care what people think of me, espically in a forum where people are hiding behind avatars of Yorkies....lol. It will take a lot more than a few negative comments to get me down about anything, everyone is entitled to their opnion just like me. On that note, thank you for your kind words. I am truly excited about getting the puppy and the breeders ability to work with me. I won't be able to get the furbaby until Novemeber but it will be worth the wait. As everyone as said, it's hard to find a good reputable breeder. I am very grateful I have. ��

I think I know the breeder you are talking about, as she breeds Maltese's as well.

Our Cody (pictured in my ID as a puppy) came from her via another breeder in Long Island. He was very expensive, supposed to be a show dog, came with Giardia, but in spite of all that, we ADORE him. He is the sweetest, smartest little guy. But, everyone has to do what is right and best for them. I wish you much luck in your quest to get a Yorkie.

However as I slowly came out of my depressed state, I reviewed our finances and realized that $2500 was a lot for a pet quality Yorkie, especially since we spent 2k in vet bills trying to save Chloe. I also begin to read other reviews on here and people were saying that price range was too high for a pet quality Yorkie. After praying on it, I decided over the weekend not to get the dog. I would love to have it but the price is hefty, and we could buy a cheaper Yorkie and afford to rescue another dog, and still have half of that money in our pockets(which we plan to do).
Last night I sent the breeder an email telling her we changed our mind and that was sorry for the inconvience. I also told her we had located Chloe's breeder(which we did on Saturday) and wanted to go that path and not to cash my deposit check. I felt bad but I just couldn't justify the cost to myself. On my way to bed last night, she called but my boyfriend wouldn't let me answer because it was 11pm at night. I was so stressed after the email I spent all night awake and stressing if I was making the right decision. Ever since Chloe died, I have been depressed. I have a lot guilt surrounding her death because she was sick and we didn't know the risk nor did she show any signs. Everyday I think I am getting better, but then this happens and I am back at square one. Please pray for me. I hope I am making the right decision. I didn't sign a contract so my boyfriend said I shouldn't feel bad, but I do. I know she will cal me today and she will be pissed caused I backed out. I love to have the dog but it's the cost. I feel like my heart is going to cave in on me ��
