I think she was responding to another poster who was determining what they felt was a reasonable price for a well bred Yorkie. I do not think she was implying anything by your questioning whether the expense would be right for you after having to spend so much on Vet expenses with your last dog. My sympathies to you on the loss. I learned the hard way and didn't go to a good breeder. I ended up spending over $7000.00 on medical expenses for Buster within the first year and a half. I believe that is the point Yorkiemom1 is making. It is wiser to spend more money on a well bred dog than to think you are getting a bargain and end up paying hefty medical bills and the suffering that the dog and us owners have to go through when they are sick, and that breeding dogs quality health dogs is an expensive business so will pay more for a well bred dog. I wish you the best on finding your new puppy and I hope it all works out. Best wishes.
I understood what she meant, but how people word their advice and how it is taken is two different things. I am very grateful for everyone this site and she has a very valid point about quality of breeders. This breeder cares a lot about her dogs. They are well taken care of and every review I have received off this site and others from people who own her dogs have been 5/5.
