![]() I have the opposite issue! My crossbreed (chorkie) is 5 lbs- a normal size for a purebred of either breed that went into her. People go, "Ohhh, THAT's why she is so small". Like...do you think yorkies are usually 20 pounds or what? Don't let it bug you. People can be super ignorant.

![]() People don't know what they are talking about and yorkies seem to bring out the stupidity in many of them. I've heard talk of midi and giant yorkies (???), been chewed out because I put their hair in a topknot (they need the hair to protect their delicate eyes) and all with an air of suprime authority. I'm sure nobody says a word about maltese, dobermans and german shepherds (correct me if I'm wrong on that). We know what we are looking at when we see a yorkie but I find it best to keep my mouth shut.

![]() Unless someone makes a comment that I know is meant to be "mean" spirited, I don't let it bother me. Some people simply doesn't know or understand. I saw a slightly big yorkie that didn't have the "traditional" look. I asked the owner if he was a mix. Having a non traditional looking teapot myself, I never minded when people asked or commented on whether Magnus was a yorkie or not. So I asked if he was a mix and she was SO offended. I didn't mean to upset her but it obviously did. ![]()
