YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() My vet has always had me take my dog off dog food if they are throwing up or have diarrhea. I have always been told to put them on an easy to digest diet. Plain yogurt, chicken, white rice, oatmeal. When the diarrhea ends you can slowly switch them back over to their food slowly.

| ![]() Nothing but water for 24 hours...I use the Pedialyte unflavored water for the electrolytes.....then slowly after 24 hours, start back with yogurt with live cultures.....then slowly allow some rice with chicken.....do this for a day or two, to allow that "angry gut" to calm and re-flourish with bacteria flora from the yogurt, then start back slowly, little amounts at a time, until you are back up to speed! |
