| Puppy Lemon Laws Hello everyone - It's been a while. I wanted to share a bit of information. I've had a terrible time with a pet store so DON'T buy animals from pet stores! If you do, for one reason or another... be aware of the laws that will protect you if your dog gets sick shortly after purchasing. Below is a link from the Humane Society with the Puppy Lemon Laws in all the states. Please make sure that you verify with your state because laws tend to change frequently. http://www.humanesociety.org/assets/...aw_chart_1.pdf Also, remember to submit a complaint to the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org/) and to the Attorney Generals Office in your state. Please share with all your friends and family!! Happy Monday to Everyone!!

| I'm sorry you had a sick pup. Another reason to not buy pups from pet stores is because they generally come from puppy mills.

I will have to agree. My puppy passed away last month. It's just so unreal that businesses can do this without being penalized or being forced to close down. Legislators are aware of the issue and it's a passing of the ball game. You have two sides. The consumer side and the animal welfare side. In the end it's hard to crack down on these places because they have lawyers and technically aren't "breaking" any laws. It's up to us consumers to make a difference by not purchasing from them. That is why I'm sharing what I have learned through my misfortune. I never understood why pet stores had a bad reputation but now I know. I hope others steer away from pet stores and pay a little more to buy from a reputable breeder.

| Welcome back! I was hoping that you would be back. I can completely agree with you. We were able to recoup the price that we paid for our pup from the POS store where she was purchased. The best advice I can give anyone looking to own a Yorkie is do your due diligence! Go to a breeder. Thoroughly vet the breeder. Know the conditions the dogs are kept in, see the whole operation, don't meet somewhere else to look at just puppies, tell them you want to see the mom and dad and the puppies all together. Doing a few hours of real research on this side of the sale can save you from thousands of dollars after the sale, not to mention the cost and heartache of the worst case that can happen like little Xena. Welcome back! I hope to hear that a new love is coming into your house soon!!
