| Steps-Stairs-Ramp I'm looking for a good quality steps, stairs, possibly ramp. Our bedroom is on the smaller side. Buddybear is 7#s and jumps off the high king bed but we have to help him up. We're concerned about the jumping off, as he is just one year old and we don't want him to injure himself if he lands wrong even though it is on carpet. I've looked on line and haven't found a quality reasonable priced set that has a decent rating. Light bulb moment.......ask the YT experts. So here I am, hat in hand looking for your wisdom. Thanks in advance. Last edited by buddybear; 08-12-2015 at 05:29 PM. |

| Snoozer Scalloped Pet Stairs.....available from Amazon.com.....this is what I got for mine and they use it and love it...they go up as well as down off the bed, using the ramp. I think if it is too steep or they dont feel secure footing, they will use it to go up, but they will jump off the bed rather than go down the ramp....this has not been an issue with my dogs and this ramp. |

| This page has lots of options: Dog Stairs For High Bed - Foter I have a bench at the foot of my bed and stairs on the side. I have actually thought about putting a ramp in place of the stairs. If it runs along the side of the bed, it takes up less room. That is how I use the stairs.

| I tried the steps but Zoey wouldn't use it. Then saw a easy DIY ramp and Zoey loves it! It took couple days for her to get used to it but after that, she uses it every time. I also prefer the ramp b/c I think it's easier on the joints for her. |

We did the same thing! Started with steps, the girls were leery of them, moved onto a ramp and had no problems We have a little store bought ramp on our bed and a hand made ramp that matches the wood and carpet for our couch. The girls love it and use it day in and day out! Op: good luck finding the one that suits you!

| LOL I am starting to sound like a broken record about steps, from experience my if your dog jumps off your bed he will continue to do so even you have steps, probably 90% of yorkies will use the steps to get up and then still jump down, and the jumping down part is the dangerous part. A ramp might be a better idea but to me a dog should not be allowed unsupervised on any surface they can not get off of safely.

| Thank you all for your comments. I was going googly eyed looking last night and showed dh my selections. So now I've dropped it into his lap, he can make the selection according to our space and finances. I appreciate you all for your opinions! |

| I do have yorkies who use steps.....up and down! I have a bench at the foot of the bed for those who wish to jump off. Not perfect, but makes the drop less. Good luck OP with your selection! Hope it works out well for you and your baby.

I have a basic metal bedframe, boxspring, and pillowtop mattress, the large scalloped steps work well. I bought regular pet steps for the couch when she was spayed and she wouldn't go near them. | |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | There is a guy on ebay who does custom stairs with the carpet color of your choice...not a bad price either. He does as few or as many steps you need.
