Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I would ask the vet for some medication. Also, ginger, melatonin, or benadryl can work...but a med from the vet would work best probably.

| Do you have her in a booster seat, or not. ....When I adopted my boy I found he would get car sick. I got him a booster seat, it is suspended OFF the car seat, this way he does not feel the car wheel movement. This was last June 2014, he has never gotten sick since he is using this booster seat. I purchased it in Pet Supplies under $30. name is Tagalong Pet Booster Seat…large size holds up to 18 Lb dog. Basket dimensions: 16” W x 14”D x 8” H. I have attached of Cody sitting in his throne lol. Cody weighs 13 Lbs, I got the large one because he has room to lay down in it. Before I got this he only went in the car to go to the vet, he would vomit before we reached the vet and again on the way home. He HATED, FEARED the car. All my passed babies came every where with me, I was so unhappy when I saw he would get car sick and would not be able to come with me, now that he has his booster seat he's the first one out of the door when I tell him bye-bye in the car. He sits like a proud king looking out of the window. I am soooo happy this booster seat works, he comes with me anytime I have to use the car.....In the beginning i did get med from my vet, but, pill had to be given an hour before going in the car, many of my car trips are spontaneous, so I never used the meds. I suggest a booster seat if you do not have one, meds if you do.

| BTW, the booster seat has a strap that you attach to your pups harness to prevent pups from getting out of the seat or propelled from seat in case of an accident (god forbid)

| When mine was a young puppy he was also get sick in the car, we went on shorter journeys and when we got out of the car we would go somewhere fun. He got used to it and now loves the car and we haven't had anymore sickness. He's 13 months old now. |

| This is what I think Joan. He seems to be so happy and content in his booster seat so the reason his demeanor changes is that he is just happy to be in his nice, comfortable car seat and no more motion sickness anymore.

When you installed the seat did you make it high enough for Duchess to see out of the windows? I also have his seat in the front with me. I would prefer him to be in the back seat, but, there is more road bounce in back seat, even I get car sick if I have to sit in the back, one of the reason's I have him in the front, also, I LOVE to look over at him and see him enjoying the car.
