| Turning into Miss Piggy Duchess was spayed about a month ago ever since she has been eating like a little piggy. She was a picky eater but now it seems like she'll inhale anything you put in front of her. Before her spay, it was like pulling teeth to get her to eat. After her spay, it seems she can't get enough to eat. Should I be concern? Besides her eating more, all else is normal. She did have a bout of colitis but that has cleared up. She is just as energetic and playful as usual. |

| I would be more concerned if she wasn't eating. But I would ask the vet how much you should be feeding her and try to stick with that amount. I over fed my girl and gave her too many treats and ended up with an overweight pup. It is hard to take off once they put weight on. But since she has been on a prescription diet she has lost weight and looks much better.

| I gotta admit, I love 'em to be a little bit piggy but you do have to be careful. Just like dieting sucks, trying to take a little weight off is tough for our furkids.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I would just be making decisions based upon her body condition / rib-feel.

| She has an athletic body type....but not too lean but I am starting to see a little weight gain. She now weighs just under 8 lbs. During the summer, we are extremely active so keeping her from gaining weight is fairly easy but during the winter months I am going to have be extra diligent as we don't go outside as much. |
