| Very interesting. I worked for a short time in a local collection agency and was appalled at the number of accounts turned over from vet offices in our area. That was over ten years ago, I can see it getting worse every year. |

| Good article. Some forget that our fur children cost money in medical bills like anyone else. After reading the article, I will agree with one key point that he made. The cost for comparative treatment for animals for things like CT scans and ultrasound etc. are way lower than human still than it is for our furbutts!!

| Do you know if this a Canadian article ? I couldn't see if it was. Our US friend pay so much less then we have to here in Canada. |

| Thanks for posting this, this is the first time I've heard about Obamacare causing medical supplies to be taxed. |

I wondered why I noticed taxes on my vet bills this year when I got the puppies. I never previously had been charged taxes on my vet bills and wondered but always had other questions to ask when leaving the vet. When I had bigger vet bills for my other two dogs, I was always allowed to pay the balance in installments. When I took Duncan (one of the puppies) to get neutered, I had asked if I could pay half at the time and the other half the following month, and they told me that they had had to stop that practice because too many people weren't paying their bills. It is a shame that people stick the vets for bills after all the hard work they do for their animals.
