Thanks for posting this! The article answered a couple of questions I had.
I wondered why I noticed taxes on my vet bills this year when I got the puppies. I never previously had been charged taxes on my vet bills and wondered but always had other questions to ask when leaving the vet.
When I had bigger vet bills for my other two dogs, I was always allowed to pay the balance in installments. When I took Duncan (one of the puppies) to get neutered, I had asked if I could pay half at the time and the other half the following month, and they told me that they had had to stop that practice because too many people weren't paying their bills. It is a shame that people stick the vets for bills after all the hard work they do for their animals.
