| ![]() Thank goodness I have never had a Yorkie afraid of thunder. None of my family even notices it and I wonder if that has some bearing. They are not afraid of fireworks in the distance, either.. |

| ![]() Those were some pretty bad storms that came thorugh here. I've always wondered how different dogs responded to thunder storms and if it depended on how bad the storm was. There were tornado warnings all over around here and that makes me nervous and you know they can sense it in you if not in the air around them. What do you do when they get nervous? Leah |

| ![]() I would say the first storm we had Caesar went crazy! Then we got Cloe. Caesar is not a barker but she is and we knew we were not getting any sleep if a storm went through. So my point is some yorkies change their minds and storms don't bother them as much....but....last night I "thought" I dreamed a thunder storm......realitly was we had a thunderstorm and they reacted the same way but momma said (in my sleep) "It's just the T.V" (my excuse for all foreighn noises) .....so I think (my own opinion) is that Yorkies are scared of what you are scared of...........if you say and think NO BIG DEAL then they think NO BIG DEAL............absorbe every moment you can....and just watch..........they change so much and so fast that you will be so amazed and so heart warmed that you will be speachless..... |

| ![]() Bailey gets very agitated, pacing around, won't settle or relax, I've tried to hold him, he wont, he'd rather pace around and go from window to window.

| ![]() Wosie is pretty immune to loud noises. My Angel, though, was frightened of thunder, table saws, compressors, any loud noise. She would shake and whimper and insist on being held, shaking all the while. If you had things to do and couldn't hold her, she would practically velcro herself to your leg. Jasper could have cared less. They are all so different in personality! ![]()

| ![]() All three of our guys hate thunder and will cower under the sheets on the bed when it's pouring and thundering outside. I'm not sure how to get them out of that mode but we've been walking outside on the back patio (covered) whenever it thunders and they'll go out as long as we're out there. |

| ![]() Trainers recommend Rescue Remedy for dogs with noise phobia (although I haven't tried it myself). The Tellington-type comfort wrap is supposed to also help. The link is on my other computer; I'll post it later if anyone wants it.
