If the dog is old enough to to be trained to performs a specific psychiatric task other than just companion then with documentation you dog could be a psychiatric service dog.

I wasn't talking about a service dog but an emotional support dog. You just need a letter saying your dog offers you support/comforts you and housing has to let you keep your pet and they are allowed in cabin on air planes last I heard. They are not given the same clearance and rights as service dogs.
