| In Louisiana Looking for a female Yorkie Puppy for my family and need breeder advice! Hi all, I am new to the forum and I am grateful to have found this community. I have just started to search for a Yorkie puppy for my family and it's been overwhelming and I've already almost been scammed twice. If anybody has any breeders they can recommend, I really appreciate the help. I am in Louisiana. Also, I thought I wanted a "tiny teacup" but now I am reading there actually is no such thing. So are they all just Yorkshire Terriors? I am trying to read up on the forum on past discussions to answer most of my questions. But the biggest concern is a legit breeder whom I can trust. Thanks so much for the advice! Wendy |

You are correct. There isn't a special breed of yorkie that is called "teacup." There are just tiny yorkies. There are also large yorkies. I've had a 15 pounder. I have a 7, 6 and 3 pounder. I don't think one size is preferable to the other. However, if you should get a tiny, you have to take extra care because they think they are flying monkeys. I'm so excited that you found YT and hope that you share your journey with us when you find your new baby to bring home.
