If anybody has any breeders they can recommend, I really appreciate the help.
I am in Louisiana.
Also, I thought I wanted a "tiny teacup" but now I am reading there actually is no such thing. So are they all just Yorkshire Terriors?
I am trying to read up on the forum on past discussions to answer most of my questions. But the biggest concern is a legit breeder whom I can trust.
Thanks so much for the advice!

Hi Wendy and welcome to YT. I hate to read that you have been scammed, but you are wise to start researching and purchase from a trustworthy breeder. There are several threads about this in the "featured yorkies for sale" section.
You are correct. There isn't a special breed of yorkie that is called "teacup." There are just tiny yorkies. There are also large yorkies. I've had a 15 pounder. I have a 7, 6 and 3 pounder. I don't think one size is preferable to the other. However, if you should get a tiny, you have to take extra care because they think they are flying monkeys.
I'm so excited that you found YT and hope that you share your journey with us when you find your new baby to bring home.
