Do you make out with your yorkie? HAHA!! When I say make out, I mean do you let them give you kisses/licks on the lips? No I don't give Uni the tongue! Though she sure give it to me! :bleh: I will ask her for a kiss and pucker my lips and she will almost always give me some kisses. But when I pull away after a few seconds, she does the chattering teeth thing and her tongue kinda sticks out a bit. If I let her go in for some more she gives me more kisses but once I back off she does it again! What a weirdo! :D So, anyone else's dog do this? Am I the only crazy one? (Don't answer that.) |
Hahaha mine always try and slip the tongue in! I call him frenchie :D |
Mines not a real kisser. I'm the one who smothers her with kisses. The only time she gets mushy is when she's falling asleep. She will give me kisses on my hands, but only cause I taught her that instead of biting. I've resigned myself to life on Sunni's terms, lol! |
Dinky gives nose kisses. I'm like Lucy in Peanuts if you remember that. She did not like dog kisses on her lips! |
Max and Sasha will both sit on my chest when I am in the recliner and just go to town. Toni always yells at me to stop it saying "That's gross!" I have taught them both to "kiss" on command. Glad to see I am not the only smoocher out there! |
I'm more apprehensive with Toto giving me kisses, seeing as how he ate his poop once. After that I just can't get that out of my head. I'll let him lick my hand. LOL |
You are not the only weirdo. :p Max is a major kisser. He likes to kiss dad the most. Remember how we talked about Uni and Max being able to bark their heads off upside down and while following other commands? Max can be in the middle of a barking jag and will follow the command to give me a kiss, then go right back to barking. He also has a signature kiss, two licks followed by a gentle nose bite. Teddy likes to receive kisses and has recently started giving them. |
Tibbe isn't much of a big kisser - just kind of does the quick, tiny licks though he still tries to slip in the tongue up an unsuspecting nostril or inside compressed lips - except for a couple of times a week when he just gets passionate about it and we totally make kissyface until I can't take it anymore. I'm first to pull out as Tibbe seems stuck on "go" during those times, just bathing my face and arms down as if he's in robot mode. |

Maybe when Addie and Raider stop eating their poop, but not now. There was a toddler in the area that recently died from a disease that he got from being licked by the family dog. It was a big story in the local paper and the tv news. |
Here's an article about a 53-year old grandmother that died as the result of her dog licking her hand. She had a cut on her hand and some medical issues. Animal-lover died from rare infection after pet DOG licked her hand | Daily Mail Online |
Yikes! What was the disease? Did the toddler already have a compromised immune system? or what's the story? I didn't hear about this. |
It wasn't a toddler it was a 53 year old grandmother. She had her spleen - the organ which prevents bacterial infection - removed in 1998. This is a VERY rare case. Letting your dog lick you is a personal choice. But not letting your dog lick you because of this case would be like not going for a walk because you might get hit by a meteor. |
When I was a kid I shared everything with our dog. Now with my OCD I allow Callie to kiss me but I know Callie does not lick her privets but with a dog I did not know whether they did or I did know they did lick there's no way. I mean you might as well lick there privets lol at least that's how I look at. |
Nope. I see them eat poop bird poop all kinds of stuff. And get worms occasionally. Thats the part I don't like |
Almost every morning I get woken up with a big puppy kiss right on my mouth! lol, glad I'm not alone. |
All my passed girls were kissers, I trained them also to "give momma kissie kiss", didn't really have to do much asking tho lol, if they did something naughty and I scolded them my youngest one would pout, then I would ask for a kiss. No matter what they were doing, if I asked for a kiss they would run to me give me kisses the go back to torturing each other lol. Cody being my adopted boy, got him when he was 2 1/2 y/o must have been taught by prev. to not lick . It took me 11 months to get him to cuddle with me when we went to bed, I have to assume they allowed him on the bed, but he was not allowed to be near or next to them. I have been working on him to show him it's ok to kissie momma, he has the sweetest tiny tongue, no he's not a tiny pup, he's a teapot, 12lbs, but has a tiny tounge, he's getting there. I am grabbing him all day swooping him up and smothering him in kisses everyday lol .....as a kid I was told if you had a cut, dog licking the wound helped heal it, could be one of those "ole wives tale's", I've never let a dog do that. |
I kiss Teddy on the mouth and he knows the command "Kiss, Kiss!" which means he gives two licks. His kisses are mood dependent! BTW, yes I think it's gross but I do it anyway cuz most life related things are gross and I figure we have immune systems for a reason! |
I kissed all my girls on the mouth lol, I try to do it to Cody, he's not use to kisses he fights lol, but I am stronger lol and I always win, when I put him down he zooms through the house lol. I don't care if anyone thinks it's gross, I LOVE my baby. |

hahaha that made me laugh out loud! |
Mine are all huge kissers - my god, they LOVE to kiss! Our Pfeiffer does the teeth shaking / jaw shaking thing too - lol. Sometimes she does when we're kissing, but other times she'll do it when she's excited or feeling sensitive. |
Absolutely NOT!!!! LOL I am not a paranoid germ type person, but I have never enjoyed being licked by dogs. I have taught all my dogs not to lick my face. Teek will occasionally lick my nose, and I tolerate that for the most part. It is thankfully NOT my mouth. LOL Teek had horrid breath when I got him, like literally it smelled like poop. I do not let him eat poop and his breath is so much better! I can at least stand him to be in my face. I give him hard dog treats everyday and he has a nylabone. I don't know if that is the difference or if he was eating poop before I got him. His thing is to get on the back of the couch and then put his front paws down on my shoulders and stand there with his back end on the back of the couch and then he will lick my neck and then my ear and then try to lick IN my ear, which at that point I am squirming away from him and giggling so he almost falls off the back of the couch. He will jump down and then try to climb onto my shoulder and get to my neck again and I will be laughing so hard I can barely stop him. I usually end up holding him on my lap and petting him so he starts licking my hand and then I give up and let him lick my hand. I will not let a dog lick my face. My mom's boxer tried to french me and got pushed off me. Her s**tz zu like to lick my face and I just don't let him either. We got our big dog at a young enough age for me to teach him not to lick me at all. I guess I just don't appreciate their efforts or something. Even as a kid I taught our fox terrier not to lick me, but he knew he could lick my older sister all day long because she didn't mind it. |
LOL.... the title made me laugh. My Luna is definitely a kisser, she'll kiss you all day if you let her. I am not a big fan right now, since I'm trying to get her a dental and cure her breath (just got her on Sunday). |

No I don't let lips. But I'll give cheek. And she gets me on my neck sometime. But my daughter will full on open mouth open nose with her. She's like that with all dogs. |
Here is a little video of Max kissing on command *turn down your sound -- I didn't know what I was doing when I made this video and it is too loud wrong video |
