| Tia's Ears I have a 10 week old female yorkie. Her name is Tia. Does anyone know what age yorkies are before their ears stand by themselves? |

Sometimes you have to use a special tape to make them stand up on their own. My Diamond is still learning to place hers up by herself she dosen't need the tape treatment.

| six weeks i paid my deposit and picked Ceeby out at age six weeks. The breeder had two litters to choose from and about one day difference in age. There were eight pups in all and all the ears were up. SIX WEEKS. Ceeby had one that was not quite all the way up but he is the only one. I said he is cute but I don't want him unless his ear is up when I come back. I think she shaved and taped that one ear. It was up when I went back. Also, he is teething now according to the vet and his ears have not flopped down. I hope they don't. |

| My pup's ears were up when I got him at 8 weeks. They soon went down, but like many posters - around 12 weeks - they were up and have stayed up every since. I did remove some of the hair off my pups ears to help remove some of the weight. They may have helped...but maybe not. Carol Jean |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Magic's ears went up around 12 weeks as well...we shaved off the tips of the ears and this really helped. Hers have never gone back done. Sailor's ears have never really went up...at least not both of them!! Her one ear went up around 4 months and then back down and now it is up for good, her other one has never gone up!!

| Some go up early, some don't go up at all, and some need help. All yorkies are different. You can give them help and trim the hair from the ears, trim around the outer side and then clip it short on both the inside and outer side.
