| blue puppy...tiny! Hi! I cannot find the old thread about information on blue puppies. I came across a lady selling a litter of blue & chocolate yorkies but was weary in taking one in. My oldest little girl got attached to the smallest one but she looked very frail. I want to take her in so badly & make sure she is taken care of but I'm afraid she will not make it & my daughters will be heartbroken. I will try to attach pics. Can anyone pls remember who the lady that had a blue puppy that reached 3 years old? Thank you so much! |

| You should not buy from that breeder. She needs to be told blue borns are not good and that the two dogs that mated need to be fixed ASAP.

| Yes, definitely stay away from that! You're asking for disappointment and heartache. Kendra's dog is NOT a typical story for blue borns. Her dog is amazingly lucky!

| Thank you so much Inga Yes, I do...I have raised poms & a yorkie that are tinies... But never a tiny blue yorkie. Just would break my heart if goes to a home that can't properly raise her & has no information about her condition. |

| She got them from a breeder. (She got them for a good deal *sigh* but the breeder wouldn't get back to me...surprise! surprise!) They didn't get along with her dog so she is trying to find new homes for them. |

| In my opinion, you are about to step off into a swamp full of alligators.....besides heartbreak and anguish when this baby begins to deteriorate, you are going to have to be ready and willing to spend the kid's college education funds (unless you are independently wealthy, which you will need to be!!) to "save" a pitiful, ill bred Yorkie....that will more than like die at an early age because of the issues these blue born babies have! I certainly can not speak for KendraE, but I will be shocked if she would tell you to jump right into this , eyes wide open, and give it a go! If you were a breeder, that had a fluke in the breeding and your pair threw a blue born, then yes, that baby is YOUR responsiblality....you contributed to this disaster so you MUST provide for that baby.....but for someone to knowingly and deliberately throw wisdom, caution, and better judgement to the wind, and hurtle forward, essentially careening off the rails and buy a defective, frail, ill bred baby, whose life span is limited at best and plagued with various disabilities, frailties, genetic issues, possible blindness, heart and kidney issues, etc, etc, etc, thinking you can make life better for this baby.....please reasses this decision....think of your CHILDREN and the effect this will have on them, when they get attached to this baby and it dies. If it was just YOU that would be devastated, then fine, go for it...but this is real tough on children, to love a puppy and then watch it die. Last edited by Yorkiemom1; 03-17-2015 at 06:29 PM. |

| I totally agree! She said there are many that are interested in her but will keep in touch just in case she is not comfortable with any of them. We have talked it over & our home has been a home for our lil munchkins, many rescues/fosters & we've had our fair share of heartbreak. That's why my girls are so open to share their love with all the creatures they come across they were so sympathetic to a raccoon that was hit by a car...they wanted to take it home so we could take it to the doctor *sigh* so I told her to let me know if she doesn't find a home for her...but I was not going to buy her. Let's see if she uses her heart instead of her pockets. |
