| I agree! Why do groomers need to say anything? I have had a groomer tell me Mags is a carnin terrier, and she is not. She is a yorkie. I would never assume to tell someone their dog is something other than what they thought.

I was curious because she's adopted Frankly, I was curious because I love how she looks, whether it was Yorkie or Silkie. I don't think I really even knew about Silkies until that comment. The more I read about them, I began to get interested..I think they are pretty dogs too, and from what I've read, they are not as easy to find in the US. ChaCha, is the dog on your avatar your silkie? I've never seen such a pretty coat on a dog. I just love her colors. Very pretty little dog | |

| YT 1000 Club Member | I had a similar experience with a groomer. I took Teek in and they argued with me about him being a Silky and not a Yorkie. I told them he was a full Yorkie and she shrugged and put it in the computer as a Yorkie. Then she said, "Does he weight about 11 lbs?" I said "he weighs 7 lbs." She looked at me as if I had just told her that I weighed 100 lbs (I am over weight) and I really hope that when she picked him up from my arms she realized that he really was just 7 lbs. I had just had him on the scale and he was 7.1 lbs. The groomers do not always know what they are talking about. Teek is not a bad looking Yorkie and everyone else that meets him knows he is a Yorkie, but she said he didn't have hair on his ears to be a Yorkie.
