| Someone Wants to Ban Yorkies in Miami I came across this article today. I think its important we let our voices be heard LOUD and CLEAR. I'm challenging all YTer's to tell this guy what you think of him. Why Stop at Pit Bulls? Miami-Dade Must Ban Yorkies | Miami New Times |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Given my Wylie's love of vociferous communication, I can't really blame the guy . Seriously though, I'm against *all* BSL (breed specific legislation)...so I'd be against this too, even if tongue in cheek...

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I agree with Ann, I don't thing that there should be a ban on any one breed specifically. Not all dogs of the same breed are vicious. It is all on how they were raised and trained. It becomes more of an owners preference and how they choose to train the animal and not the breed itself. My home town is in the process of lifting the restrictions on PBs that was put in place over 20 yrs ago. No longer will ALL pits be considered vicious.

| I posted yesterday on a thread in off topics about this. I believe this piece of writing is satire, where the author is poking fun at people who think breed specific legislation, like what is done some places for pit bulls, is okay. I loved this article because I'm strongly opposed to breed specific legislation, and I believe the author's purpose in writing this is because he/she agrees and is trying to get people to think about how dangerous such laws can be.
