Yorkie Yakker | Long Legged Yorkie? We were at the vet today to get Snickers microchip done, they did it when he was neutered only for me to find it in his hair after surgery So I waited until he got bigger and a bit older. Not a fun experience, I think we were both traumatized...they had to stick him twice! After the first try I told the girl don't do it again go get Michelle 😡. Anyway there was a woman at the vet who asked what kind of dog he is... Um I think he obviously looks like a yorkie. She informed me "Not with those long legs!" I have AKC papers on him I said well his papers say yorkie... I feel a tad insulted for my pup! So my question is, do all full yorkie a have short legs? He's a big boy at 9 months and weighs 11.9 lbs I can't figure out how to insert a photo in this message, but I'll post a few if you look on my "page" sorry this drives me crazy trying to figure this site out |

| I had a look but can't really tell much from just one picture at that angle.. Others will perhaps be more helpful? Sorry! About the chip: my vet did inform me that they are painful for dogs and especially small dogs. However, the chip is still recommended. It is like human vaccinations which are painful at the time, and sore after a few days, but immunize us for disease. Anyway, I was grateful for my vets honesty. It's a shame that you were traumatized by it all - perhaps some honesty and competence would have made the experience better. |

| My passed girl was 17 beautiful lbs, she had long legs. I kept her coat mid length to take away from her legs, I have a pic in my album. For 17 years I had comments about her breed because of her height, the answers from me were always the same, she is AKC registered 100% full yorkie. Yep I would get insulted when ppl would ask me what "Breed" she was, duhhhh, I really wanted to answer a long haired Chihuahua, stupid answer for stupid question. He's a lil cutie, ignore stupid ppl.

| I have an akc parti yorkie and most people have never even heard of that. I've only had her since wednesday and so far people think shes a jack russell due to her coloring. It doesn't bother me. I feel like I'm educating people and hopefully making parti's more popular. |

| lol Jack Russell, anyone looking at your little ball of fur and thinking it's a Jack Russell obviously knows NOTHING about dog breeds, but I do agree, about Parti's being rare. In my 35+ years I have never seen one in person, only pics here on YT, yes you are educating.
