| ![]() Today I went into our local animal feed store, saw they had the double Bully stick made in the USA. I bought this type, it's thicker. After the boy ate I gave it to him. My heart is filled with joy. Last week when I gave him the first chew anything in the 14 months I have had him I was watching him very closely, I don't know if his prev. owner ever gave him anything to chew on. I didn't know if he would try to swallow this thing whole I was telling him what a good boy he was, and went to pet his head, he stopped chewing and let out a low growl, I reprimanded him on this, then I started to pet his back, another low growl, again reprimanded him. Then it was time for him to eat, I took the bully stick away while he was eating, 1- it looked kinda short to me, it was 4 inches, 2-I wasn't happy about the growling, wasn't sure I ever wanted to give him another chew thing. After much thinking about this growling and giving me the eye that says "try it, I dare you", I had to assume this was his very first ever chew thing. So I gave it another shot tonight. He stayed on the sofa closer to me chewing his little heart away, I kept telling him what a good boy he was, I went to pet his head, no growl, then I pet his back, no growl, then he came on my LAP and was chewing, my heart was over whelmed, he trusts me that I won't take his Bully stick away. He chewed for 2 1/2 hours, then started to play with it lol, heart just so over whelmed to see my lil boy so happy. But, then he starts flinging it around the living room, those double Bully sticks are HARD, I have several 30 inch tall figurines in my living room, I don't need them broken by a Bully stick, iyiyi, I can't take this enjoyment away from him now. It was just so wonderful to see him happy to chew, to trust I won't take it away and to see him playing with it like my girls use to do with their hooves. I am so blessed to have this lil guy.

| ![]() lol, the first I heard about Bully sticks is when I joined YT, I googled it, when I saw what it was I also freaked out. Rewind to my past girls, I am as most YT members are a BIG animal lover, when pig ears came out I said no way will I have a poor little pigs ear in my house, then I say my friends dog with one and saw how much they enjoyed it I bit the bullet and got them for my babies, then the pig snout came out, OMG, it was like the entire face, again, noooo way, but I gave in for my girls, and they loved them. So now we have these Bully sticks, I am reading how so many YT members babies love them, I can't deny my little boy. They look like any ordinary chew stick so ya really don't think of where they come from, and my boy LOVED it, that's all that matters to me, my boy is happy, I am happier.

| ![]() At the feed store I saw salmon skin, it looked like a snake eek, I didn't know what it was until I picked it up to read it, rolled salmon fish skin. Cody has not had any type of fish, he is being treated for allergy's, didn't want to take a chance with fish product, also wanted to check here on YT if anyone has tried fish skin and any effects their pups had with them.

| ![]() I also saw these oinkies , they were stuffed, didn't look to see what they were stuffed with, will check it out the next time I go there. They had so many chew treats, all made in the USA. So hard to try to select what was safe. I also got him a Antler, I pray he doesn't poke his eyes out with it, it was kinda on the big side, Pet Supplies had smaller ones. If he likes it I will try the ones at Pet Supply. I bought a small variety of chews just to see what little guy favors. This sweet little guy LOVES what ever you give him, he's not a fussy picky eater either. I am so blessed to have him in my life, and I love buy him new things, anything, treats, toys, he loves what ever I give him.NOT coats or sweater tho lol.

| ![]() For four years I let Callie have bully sticks and thought they were great and didn't listen to people when they kept warning me about them being teeth breakers. Then bam Callie was on my feet chewing one and a heard the crack and she took off like so I g the shocked her. I picked her up and looked and saw her tooth was broken but not only just broken but cracked down the center. She had surgery the next day to remove the tooth is was the big cruncher tooth they use to chew bones so it had three roots and required stitches. Cost about $530. I posted a while back an article by Dr.Becker a well respected vet that saild antlers md bully sticks are just to hard and are teeth breakers.

| ![]() Lexi pulls the growl when she thinks someone is going to try and take her bully stick, mainly Parker. She will only growl at me if I'm actually taking the bully stick out of her mouth. She's also weird about them in that she doesn't like to chew on the sticks until they have been started for her. She will not chew a brand new stick, but Parker will start chewing one and she will then take it away from him and chew on it like it's the best think ever. |

Oinkes have like a crunchy peanut butter center. My pap learned to soften the end and pull out the good stuff. Shes ate them for three years now. Boo will get lazy and let princess chew it soft then grab it and run off. Princess will smell he end of it when i give it to her to make sure she has the right stuff. After they get the good out they will go back off and on to chew the outside. But i get more so throw the old away. They also play keep away with them. | |
