| dialysis patient I just bought a new 2 month old parti yorkie. My neighbors would love to see her but he is a dialysis patient. Is there anything my dog can catch or I should be careful of? Thanks |

| Congratulations on your new pup. There is no risk relative to a dialysis patient.

| Well firstly, I wouldn't take my new little pup anywhere until he/she had had all her shots....and then give it a couple of weeks. Nothing can be caught by your little girl - I'd worry more about her jumping up and accidently knocking out tubes/lines etc. I, personally, would hold her in my arms when the time comes - and let your neighbour just love on her from afar until everyone gets used to the situation

You may not know what other conditions this person may have and without an all clear and instructions from their doctor I would not do it. Even if it is okay, I would not chance it while they are hooked up, receiving dialysis at home. For some dogs, the chemical smells are hard to take.
