| 3 month old yorkie biting everything! My yorkie pup is either biting me and being really excited, or sleeping. Despite the fact he is only 13 weeks, his bites still hurt. I bought him chew toys and a "bully stick" (which is just a rawhide stick that he loves), but he rather bites me. Then, all of a sudden, he is calm and sleepy. How do I even out his behavior, or will it even out as he gets older? |

| Welcome to YT... He is just a little baby, he is play biting, their teeth are like shark teeth. Others will come along and give suggestions on how to divert their attention to toys or chew sticks. When I had puppies I LOVED to incite them, get them wild and crazy and yes, I would go to work with hands that looked like I was attacked by wild cats lol, but I loved it and their craziness followed with the zoomies. I miss those puppy days.

| Did you happen to get him before 12 weeks? Puppies who don't stay with there moms until 12 weeks can miss out on there mom and siblings teaching them not to bite. When mine was a puppy the only thing that worked was a squirt bottle so when she would bite I would say no and squirt her. Bully sticks are bulls penis since she has her baby teeth it's probably not an issue but they will break adult teeth, mine broke one of hers on them. I also would stay away from rawhide it is not digestible and swells in the stomach which can cause blockages and most are treated with toxic chemicals.

YT Addict | I got my baby at seven weeks. It's a stage and it will pass. Just keep saying no firmly. Do not allow any contact with skin. I use a beer bottle aluminum with ricks in it with a screw lid. Shake it makes a lot of noise to get their attention and say no. Mine is seven months and it's passed for the most part. |
