| Need Help - Dry Paws I tried a balm from wal mart that is greasy like Vaseline and they just lick it off their paw pads. I tried a jar of stuff from the pet botique that was so stiff I couldn't spread it. Any suggestions?

| Heat up some water, set the jar in the hot water, maybe that will soften it up enough to apply to paws, or run the hot water, place jar under hot water. IDK but it's worth a shot.

| I bought it at the groomer next door to me vet, where I order my Isle of Dogs products. But i just chevked snd youncan buy it at Amazon, ValleyVetSupply, and Baxterboo. It is a soft creamy texture. I have the jar, but you can also buy it in a stick balm.

| Musher's Secret is my recommendation! It's not just great for softening their pads but it also protects them from walks on salty sidewalks during winter. My two refuses wear boots so when I researched for an alternate, that's what came up. Apparently, sleigh dogs uses them. |

It is harder than pawmagik. It's a bit more intense. Its like a hard paste wax. You need to heat it up by working it between your fingers first, and then rub it into the paw pads. Then you'll need to wash your hands a few times in Dawn to get it off your hands. Pawmagick is softer. You just take a tiny bit and work it into the pad. Any left over i just rub into my hands easily.

| I was looking at both of them. Seems like each is really for different applications. I was just starting to compare prices. Valley vet is cheaper than Amazon on pawmagic. Where do you order your Musher's Secret? I wish I could find them in a pet store so I don't have to order it online.

Maybe it gets harder as it gets older. That little jar easily lasted me 3-4 years. Mushers secret was what i was looking for when i stopped at the grooming salon. But they didnt have it, and had jars of pawmagik sitting by the muttluk winter boots they sold. The owner recommended it, so i bought it. Im happy ith it so far, but ZoE is not an outdoor potty dog, so she only goes out to play in our backyard and we go for an occasional walk on a local walking trail. Last winter was brutal in .michigan. Lots of snow and lots of ice, so lots of paw drying salt everywhere.
