| I need two sets of hands! (grooming) Hello! So how do you guys manage to make your babies look so beautiful with only one set of hands?! LOL Normally after JoJo's bath I let him run around and stop him a few times to brush him until he is dry...he looks better after a bath but not as good as he does when he comes back from the groomers, or not as good as your babies do in your pictures. Obviously to achieve that look he needs to be blowdried but he is SO scared of it. I need two sets of hands, one to hold him and one to blowdry him. Anyway, my question is, how do you guys do it? Are your babies so well trained and used to it that they just sit while you groom them? Or is there some secret? I always wondered how even the groomers are able to cut his hair and blowdry him...he is a tough one!! Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! |

| Start off using only the blowdryer and no brush until your baby gets used to the sound and feel. Add the brush once that initial fear is gone. When Crissy first came to live with us 10 weeks ago, she didn't want any part of the blowdryer. She would try to escape me. I sit on the floor with my legs folded while I blowdry my babies. She would attempt to escape under my arm near my elbow while my arm is close to my body. I just held her there and dried what I could with the brush and dryer. Now . . . we have NO problems! She LOVES getting dried. Good luck!

| Snoodles is really a bugger too. A great tip, is to put the hair dryer in an empty coffee can. That way it frees one hand. Of course, to brush Snoodles, I need 35 hands! LOL! But this really helps! Pat |

| I don't blowdry Joey, but for a great distraction try peanut butter smeared on a nearby surface. Keeps them busy licking...

| You know what...funny thing is, JoJo HATES peanut butter. That's too bad for me because it would be a great distraction. He has hated the smell from fay 1. He makes a face and then backs away from it. I have tried sneaking some in his mouth to see if he'd like the taste and he hates it! Bummer for me... |

| Kelsey likes to be groomed she just sits there. If the doors open forget it, she wants to get out A.S.A.P. so I can have no interuptions.

| You guys are lucky!! If JoJo even hears the bath water running (even if it isn't for him), he takes off LOL. I gotta go catch him, or bribe him into coming in the bathroom with a treat. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali likes the blow dryer but hates to be brushed. I am training her to sit still when I put her bow in each day by saying Bow Time and then she gets a treat right after.

| Megan usually does Tucker and I don't know what goes on in that bathroom! It sounds like they are both bouncing off of the walls. But he does look good when they come out. (she however.....)

| Here's a low cost investment but worth its wait in gold www.hairmade.com a stand for your hair dryer giving you an extra hand. I usually let Lexie sit in my lap and just point the hairdryer towards her while I brush her -- she usually falls. asleep |

As soon as my dogs see me go into the laundry room and turn on the clothes dryer and walk into the bathroom and turn on the heater . . . they KNOW what is coming! Carter is the worst of the bunch . . . he hides behind things like the sofa and I can't get him!!! He's sneaky! Thank goodness the other two haven't learned that trick from him.

| There are arms that attach to a table - which hold a hair dryer. This can be positioned to aim the air in any direction - and it allows you to hold your pup with both hands. You can reposition the hair dryer or you can place your pup in different positions while you brush him. I have seen these for sale on the Internet and on E-bay. Carol Jean |
