| ![]() I also agree that de-clawing is so cruel. I didn't see where the OP mentioned de-clawing, and hope my post wasn't taken that I suggest it in any way. But rather, kittens have to learn to use their claws, and they do through play and discovery. By the time they are old enough to even de-claw they are usually past the worst stage of development as far as play and discovery so it seems counter productive anyways. For a couple of months during their development, they are relentless at attacking anything and everything and climbing your legs, furniture, curtains, etc. As much as I love cats and kittens, I'd much rather adopt a cat that was 9-10 months old because I'd rather go through 10 puppy stages to 1 kitten stage. ![]() ![]() ![]()

YT 500 Club Member | ![]() they make these neat claw covers for cats that are super easy to use. you just clip the cats nail, and its really easy to do that with regular nail clippers since they are clear and you can see the quick easily. then you put super glue into the nail cover and slide them over the nail and hold for a few seconds and whala! no more scratching. i used them on ours when i first brought Marley and Izzie home so the cats wouldn't hurt them.they can last up to four weeks. |

| ![]() My last cat, Emma I had been able to clip her nails while in my lap. Trained her from a kitten. So that is an option, too.
