| YT 1000 Club Member | While talking about micro chipping. What are people's thoughts on micro chipping an older Yorkie? I have already planned to get the new puppy micro chipped when we get him/her fixed. If Teek were to need any procedure's done I would definitely elect to micro chip him while he is already asleep. However, The last dog I had micro chipped at a regular visit bled on and off all afternoon. I had to take her back to the vet so they could look at her and make sure the chip stayed in and stuff. It was very stressful for me although she did not seem to really be bothered by it. I would really like to hear thoughts as I would feel so much better if I knew he was micro chipped. My big dog was micro chipped when he was fixed. I personally think that is the way to go and what I will do with the puppy.

| I would get any age dog microchipped. I got all my animals done without sadation. My yorkie was a pup and less than 2lbs when she got hers done.

| Sven so loves his furever home. I was dying laughing just watching him scratch his back on the newly cut grass his dad just mowed for about 10 minutes straight the other day! He has gone from being scared and docile to happy, perky, and mischievous in these months. What a difference having a great family to raise little Sven has made.

| I'm glad to hear that there was a positive ending. I'm sorry that Sven didn't have anyone looking for him, but happy that he has a forever family now. This solidifies the importance of microchipping! All of my pets are microchipped and I just had my almost 13 year old foster chipped. If it increases my chances of getting my pets back by 1%, it's worth it.

One of our residents lost their Yorkie in a grocery parking lot. We received a phone call about the lost Yorkie but it was a new automated call. They also had flyers put up all over town. | |
