				 | After going through hundreds of these ads, there seems to be a common denominator: if your pup isn't microchipped and he gets lost, you're SOL. At least 90% of the reunited pups in these ads seem to have been microchipped.

				 | My town also has one of these facebook yardsalers sites and you would not believe the lost dogs that are reunited through this method; sometimes within hours. Great idea. |

				 | Agreed! Our neighborhood FB page(they don't allow advertising of garage sales and such) reunites a dog with their family, or finds a home, about every week or two. It's pretty amazing how quickly information is shared around here these days. Our neighborhood FB page has been a super positive addition. |

				 | Well, never got any hits with the flyers, never found anything on Craigslist or Facebook, nothing checking with the local shelters and the humane society, so my neighbors kept the little lost yorkie and named him Sven, after the character from Frozen. And Cookie and Sven have formed a great friendship. They're always kissing through the fence and it cracks me up so much when my neighbor tells Sven "OK Romeo, it's time to come in" when he's making out with Cookie through the fence (thank God she is spayed, haha!). And he has gone from being a scared little guy to an excited and energetic yorkie who adores his family. Man do they love that pup, what a great home they have made for him.

I just have to think it was meant to be... Happy stories like this puts me in such a good mood. Especially with all the cr@p going on around the world. Your neighbor seems like a great family~ If you get a chance, take a picture of Sven and Cookie together. Would love to see the two love birds! | |

				 | No microchip. My neighbor took the pup in to check for one the day after he showed up since I wasn't having much luck finding his owner in the neighborhood. But looking at all the ads for Lost Dogs of Texas it seems like almost all the dogs reunited with their owners were chipped. I guess it's really hard without that microchip and without tags.
