| ![]() I love his ears also but I am tempted to remove some of the hair to see if they go full erect. There is a LOT of hair on his ears...... I need to read a bit before going down that road.... it would be awesome to find a real old groomer that knows their craft... the groomers I've seen around here are barely out of highschool. LOL Zippy is very alert, his ears rotate around pretty intensely as we walk, just like Gucci's ears. If the weather wasn't so cold, I'd consider a tight "puppy cut?" shave and grow it back out from there. Gucci shows more interest in Zippy than Zippy shows Gucci. Zippy pretty much ignores Gucci most of the time. Zippy's attention is on his people, myself and his new mama who feed him. ![]() Agreed, he doesn't care what I call him, LOL, he isn't coming no matter what! When I move from one location to another in the house, he automatically gets up and follows enthusiastically. Remaining just out of reach for the most part still, unless we're at the front door... he loves to go outside so tolerates the leash going on and the belly band coming off. We may do a DNA test one day, but it wouldn't matter of course except to settle my own curiosity. |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | ![]() Mark if you have a moustache trimmer, that is what I use on Razzles ears. It truly is not hard to do. The hard part is finishing the ear trim around the outer ear - I usually do that with scissors. But you can get most of the hair off with those trimmers. I loved all the pics you posted!

| ![]() Love his pictures. I bet if you trim his ears he will look completely different. I think the way he is cut is making it hard to determine what he is mixed with. It looks like his coloring is Yorkie from the pictures. He is one handsome little guy.

| ![]() He is so handsome, he looks so curiously alert and perky. Looks like you have found the perfect companion for you and your family. The ears and curly tail make him even cuter ![]()

| ![]() Congrats on the new pup, he is a doll. I got a kick out of the description on the rescue site saying he is a tiny one, I guess they do not do much yorkie rescue, since 9 lbs would not be considered tiny, but that does not really matter if he is the right size for you. From the curve of his tail I would say he could be part pom. Take a look at the photos in my profile, he looks a bit like my Lola who is a yorkie pom mix. Full bred yorkies don't shed but Poms shed a lot. While Lola does not shed individual hair strands, I will find little puffs of hair on the floor. I never had that with my pure breds yorkies. I paid $450.00 for Lola at 16 weeks, but then had to pay for all her first year vet bills which was probably another $500.00 because in addition to her spaying I opted for a full blood panel. So for a young cute dog with full vetting what you paid is probably the going rate. I so love his tail, with Lola if I do not trim her tail it has grown as long as 14" which LOL is longer than her body, but she still carries is up high like it weighs nothing. It will be interesting to see how your guy looks if you let the hair on his tail grow longer. Lola is also quite the spinner/twirler I hear that is a big pom trait.

I think the votes for pomeranian are correct. At the pet food store we ran into a pom owner. Zippy's back has slightly coarse, puffy, hair like a pom, besides the tail. His face, legs, chest and sides are very soft hair. I'd say he has a barrel of a chest in comparison to Gucci(we believe he is 100% yorkie). He usually circles three times before adding fertilizer to the lawn. I'll check out Lola's pictures! Thanks! So, I'm voting Yorkaranian! LOL ![]() He's gradually coming out of his shell or timid state... super social, played with a toy earlier today and the zipping around in a circle, around the room, continues. His trail walking skills are near impeccable. Three 3 mile walks really lets him express himself. He's funny with a pile of leaves. He always looking outward, alert for whatever. ![]() Gosh, our local humane society, Seattle, charges $275 for this size dog, and that's with some public funding. So, I'm totally fine with paying $200 more for this one... he's such a character.. no sign of abuse, per say... he doesn't flinch at moving feet or arms/hands. He has these eyes of utter devotion, LOL, even though he doesn't come when called. I was told that is a pom trait! LOL Oh no! ![]() We did have our first scuffle between the two dogs late tonight. Everyone's ok though. | |

| ![]() Hello. My name is Cheryl. Congratulations on your new addition. He is beautiful. I have three and from time to time Rocky has to let the other two know that he was here first and he is just letting them stay for a while. Lol. After a while they all started getting along more and more. Gucci and Zippy will do the same. At least they didn't start fighting when they first met. I am glad they are a good fit. Much happiness and joy to you all.
