| ![]() We did it we did it! The combination of daddy's towel, warm bottle of water, ticking watch, and a stuffed animal got it done. She slept from 1230 to 7 am. And to make all of it better she held her pee all night. When I took her out I immediately put her on the pad and she went enough for 3 of her lol. Thank you do much for all you help. Sorry if I was a little snappy, I just wanted her to be happy and comfortable as well as get some sleep. I have a 3 year old as well. Go to school over time so sleep is required for my survival. I'm so happy. I've never seen a puppy like Mia. She really is amazing. Controlling her pee at 5 wks is great. She's also eating a mix of wet food and formula. I'm a very relieved and happy mama. So happy I took her out of the negative situation! Now I gotta get her looked at by a vet asap. My daughter is sick and its freezing here in coconut Creek but as soon as I can I will! Thank you again everyone! |

Btw, how much does she weigh? That's one thing you really want to keep track of at this age, to make sure she isn't losing and is gaining properly. I always used a postal / kitchen scale.

| ![]() Glad to hear she is doing better. When we got Sissy, Bubba was already housebroken and sleeping in our bed. So every night she threw a fit and we finally put her in our (their) bed. We were afraid she would have an accident so we went to home depot and got a large plastic drop cloth that is used for painting and put that between the bottom sheet and the mattress pad. Cheap and it works.

| ![]() Glad to hear you've worked it out. It takes time for both of you to adjust. Super glad to hear you're going to be taking her to the Vet for a check up. Good luck, you've been given great advice! |

Your post made my day. I felt so bad that you were getting a negative view of yt as I believed everyone was trying to be helpful but sometimes that passionate love for the yorkie breed can come across as a little critical. Thanks for sticking with us and I hope you will keep coming back to contribute to the wonderful mix of people on this website | |

| ![]() Welcome to YT, glad to see puppy is now settling in and you are getting some sleep. Poor lil baby taken from it's mom way to early. Don't get me wrong, not blaming you, blame goes to the person that breed her female, for what ever reason, what ever the circumstances breeder must let puppy go. My heart goes out to this little puppy, taken away from mom, missing her, she is just an infant, at 5 weeks old has to adjust to no momma. Pups at 12 weeks go through the same thing, crying for their momma's. I think you were very courageous for taking on such a big responsibility with a small child that needs your attention also. It's a big responsibility caring for a 5 week old puppy, asking for YT advise was a wise choice on your part. Your puppy is just precious looking, thanks for the photo of her. Hope puppy's non crying at night continues to improve. When I had lil babies it took about 5 days for them to adjust to no crying at night. Please keep up updated on her life with her new family. Puppies although a lot of work are so cute and funny little clowns. Good luck with your new lil girl.

| ![]() She's missing the warmth and closeness of her mom as well as the companionship of her litter mates! Poor baby! You have become her mom, so until she's able to be more independent, I would keep her very close, even snuggled. This may seem difficult now and very time consuming but the rewards will be great when she's finally able to show you how much she loves you by following you everywhere you go. Be patient with her. The reward to you will be a devoted companion for as long as she lives!

| ![]() Hello everyone! Things are going well. Got Mia looked at she is a healthy pup. Unfortunately she is even younger than we thought. About 4 to 5 week now. It's terrible that she is that young but well she is handling everything rather well. Currently sleeping with my boyfriend. We were told to give her nutrical, royal canin for babies. We bought her a crate that is her size. So far so good. She woke up once last night. Put her on the pee pee pad and back in her crate. A couple of nos later and she was asleep. We were finally able to sleep without the tv on. And she slept without the bear, the towel or the clock. Only my boyfriends shirt and a warm water bottle. I'm very happy that she is a good dog. Alot of money is about to be spent on her. And it seems that she is a very good pup. |

| ![]() I can only hope you have reported the person that let a less than 4 week old baby leave its momma and siblings......regardless of the fact that it is illegal in all States I am aware of, it is unethical and downright cruel and abusive. Just remember you are dealing with a enfant that has not even actually been weaned, and you are dealing with that now, as well as all the issues that will present themselves later as a result of the separation. Keep her warm, or any nutrition she ingests will not be absorbed...she is able to regulate her own temp at this age, but you still want her warm and not in any drafts. Good food choice, in my opinion. Good luck and praying for this baby, as well as patience for you. Last edited by Yorkiemom1; 11-21-2014 at 12:10 PM. |

| ![]() Mia and 5 other siblings were abandoned and found by jerks. She and prince ( her brother) are within my family now! Not much I can say since they were going around selling the for whatever they could get. I took Mia. And my cousins took prince. They didn't look well. And the people looked despicable. I didn't get a name or anything. It was like a drug deal it was terrible. But I and my family are very happy to have them! |
