YT 500 Club Member | To shave or not to shave Should I go ahead and get her coat shaved (evened out) or let the coat on her leg grow out a little more? I'm not sure how she would look with all her body hair gone. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If it were me, I might trim up a little bit...but probably not much. Our Wylie had LP surgery and had his entire lower back, back end, and back legs totally shaved - - lol, he looked like a lion! We just trimmed up his front a bit so it blended a bit more, and then waited for it to blend a little better. Let us know what you decide and post a pic if you cut her!

| We had Zoey trimmed up -- mostly because she was looking very scruffy and really hates to be brushed. She looks really cute, but sure didn't look like the same dog!

| Shaved This is how I get Charlie cut. I think it makes him look very clean, he too looks very ragged if I let him grow out and he wears clothes in the winter so hes never cold

| I LOVE the look, I prefer a very short cut, I love to mush my boy up and not be concerned about getting his hair knotted up. I keep him in a puppy cut with fringes on his BIGGGG beautiful ears, also keep his face as full as possible without his looking out of place with a short cut. He loves to dig under big boulders in the back yard, he swears there is a little chipmunk lurking under these boulders lol. He gets really dirty and baths are so much easier with the short cut. This Spring I got him several T-shirts so he can wear them indoors for the winter if he gets cold from the short cut. He is toooo wild to have a flowing coat, also he does not have straight hair, I guess his hair is what is refereed to as a Cotton Coat. I love all yorkies in puppy cuts, I think they are sooo cute. I also love the beautiful long flowing coats, makes them look so regal and dainty. It's your preference, what's easy for you to maintain, and what look you like. Good luck in your dissension.
