| What age? I have a 5 month old yorkie puppy. We just have finished our first bag of dog food (between him and his sister which is my aunts puppy) , and I was wondering at what age we needed to start converting him to adult food. I know not right now, but when? Also, at what age do they "stop" growing, or reach adult size? He is 4lbs now, and the vet and breeder said he shouldn't be over 4-5 lbs... Is this correct?

| They need to be on puppy food until they are 1 year old. It has alot of vitamins and minerals the help them develop. As far as weight that varies, sorry no help there. My Gizmo is 6 mo and weighs 3 lbs.....and hasn't gain or grown since he was 3 1/2 - 4 mo. Good kuck hope some one can help you here ! |

YT Addict | One year but even then when changing their diet be sure to do it slowly.mix the adult food in a little at a time so as to not upset their little tummies!
