| Newbie Hi, my name is Rose. I found my sweet lil' boy, Rex, at a shelter in March. He's about 5 years old and is such a love. Although I've had dogs my entire life, he's my first Yorkie. He weighs in at a whopping 4.8 lbs but what he lacks in size, he makes up for in attitude. We're having some problems on our walks...he thinks he's a big dog and can be aggressive with other dogs. I was thrilled to find this board so I can learn more about how to help him change this behavior. I don't know if he is afraid or just has an abundance of testosterone. He's a great little guard dog but we need to work on his social skills. I'm looking forward to "meeting" everyone and learning more about Yorkies. |

| Welcome to YT and thank you for rescuing, I rescued a 3 y/o last Nov. who must be the brother to your pup, BIGGG attitude. also very aggressive around other dogs, 2 days ago he charged at a leashed pit bull lol. He is in obedience school, rather, I am in obedience school, we have to be trained in order to train our pups. There are members on YT that can offer excellent advise and tips. Getting the aggression under control is a safety issue for our dogs, reason Cody & I are in training. Good luck.
