| ![]() The weather is now cold here in the UK and I noticed my puppy had a little shiver now and again, so I got him some sweaters and he loves them and he is all warm and content BUT I took his jumper off and OMG he had turned into a ball of cotton candy ![]() ![]()

| ![]() Cotton candy, lol, great description! Ideally all clothes would be satin lined to cut down on tangles. I find it is helpful to let the hair relax for at least 15 minutes after taking off clothes. Then I brush.

| ![]() In my experience yarn sweaters cause much more matting than any other clothes. You might want to get him some fleece shirts or put a tshirt under the sweater. It's definately vital to brush everday when they wear clothes. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() Yes, Joey hardly ever tangles now, but as a puppy, he too was a ball of cotton candy. I'd put Cowboy Magic under arms, before I put him in a sweater, otherwise he'd mat. Some people use corn starch. Fortunately, he outgrew the tangles. You could keep him clipped short, until the adult coat grows in. Maximo's right, silk will keep them from matting, and you might be able to find a silk t-shirt to wear under clothes.

| ![]() I bet he's the cutest piece of cotton candy huh? lol. I was also going to suggest maybe putting a shirt under his sweater to help prevent from some matting. |

| ![]() Until you get some satin lined clothing or other special lining, you might try spraying on some detangler or leave-in conditioner on him and brushing him out before putting on his sweaters.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | ![]() I usually brush him before I put a sweater on. Then like Kristin say . . Wait 15 mins and then brush. . I use a comb with rotating teeth that works really well.
