| Honestly, before we got a Yorkie and we started to learn all about them, I always thought it was a breed for elderly ladies! Heh, which is far from the truth! There's all ages of Yorkie parents, I tend to think a lot of YorkieTalk owners are a bit younger than an average Yorkie parent (since younger folks are more likely to be Internet addicts, I think!). As for men liking them, there's plenty of single Yorkie Daddies out there! Though I'll have to admit, I don't recall seeing many male Yorkie Daddies out in public (though I did see one at the dog park last month). |

| ldenise, thank you! We do enjoy life! Our motto has always been "if it's not fun ... don't do it!" That makes it a lot easier to endure those things that are not fun! It would be soooo great to have a YorkieTalk "meetup"!! fasteddie, we should give a few clues and guess each other's age! Not by pictures ... people used to think that my son and I were brother & sister!!! I aged over-night whan he discovered girls!!! And it gives me great pleasure, now that he has a 15 yearold daughter to just sit back & smile!!!!

| My husband will vouch for the fact that they are not girly dogs Tia hasn't "taken" to him yet, and I really don't ever remember him feeling quite so bad. He always wants puppy kisses and he and SANDY are inseperable! I think Sandy likes Dave more than me! She runs to greet him with the kids the second she hears his car in the drive way And he used to think he was a big dog person. He just said to me last night that we'll never own another breed, it's only Yorkies for us!

| Well my boyfriend immediately took to Hercules when we got him. He quickly became a yorkie person, and even has said "I've always loved yorkies," even though he didn't know anything about them until me!! Well he loved Hercules so much (who is technically mine in terms of who spent the money) that he has decided to get a little girl for himself! So now we're a 2 yorkie family!

| I have very much fun when I take my Yorkies for a walk . Recently , I moved to another part of the city . Peoples have big dogs , when they look at me they say for a laugh " Hey , big guardians " , I really have fun with the comments , it is more funny than offending . A Yorkshire - Terrier is a dog for someones who love and appreciate the breed no matter is it is a man or a woman . |

| Yorkies are chick magnets! You will have women following you everywhere! I know a divorced straight guy who has one and he adores him. He lives in Manhattan and Yorkies are probably the most popular dogs there! |

| My boyfriend was the one who picked out Archie...he was the one who wanted the dog, but I was hesitant. I don't think that it's feminine to have a yorkie, but are you trying to get a really teeny tiny dog and dress her up? Then...well...maybe a bit feminine. But Archie is a boy and he's pretty big (10-11 lbs.) and he wears clothes when my boyfriend takes him out, but he wears boyish clothes although my boyfriend prefers archie to go shirtless. No sweaters or anything, though. He just got a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, which I put on him when I wear my navy blue hooded yankees sweatshirt :-) He's also got a red sweatshirt, a black jacket, and an army camoflage raincoat. Our yorkie is definitely very boyish. |

| My husband of 16 years LOVES our babies. Our daughter is 12 and is not a baby at all anymore. We got Cricket and he named her and she was HIS dog and he let everyone know it. He even wiped her butt everytime she pooped. 3 weeks later I was talking to the breeder and they still had her brother. He says Let's go get him. He said that we couldn't have too many babies! He took Cricket to PetSmart and he said the women flocked to him!! I said that would be enough of that. Yorkies are for everyone!! |

| Nope I don't think so at all. Chester is really my husband dog. I bought chester for him as a gift. He walks him / feeds him play with him. He really loves him and is crazy over chester all his friends know that too. There are no bows or ribons or top knots .I had to get chester a manly sweater. |

| I am married to the most masculine retired Army guy who, as Bettyanne has heard him say, "hates dogs." Yeah right. He is putty in Higgin's paws! He refers to himself as "Daddy" when he is talking about his "son" and he won't abide any bows or frills on his "boy" Higgins. They simply adore one another and I go along for the joyful ride! As do many others, I think there is nothing more "masculine" than a guy and his little dog! |

| I saw a young macho guy driving by (JUST TODAY!) in a souped-up sports car with the window rolled down and a little puny Yorkie with his head out the window! Also, when I see my gigantic bf who is really tall (like a foot taller than me) squatting down on the floor to get down to Otis's size, it's soooo adorable!! And even if you feel it's not masculine to own a Yorkie, think of all the masculine things you can do, like build stairs for your Yorkie or find cool Yorkie gifts out there for your girlfriend! |

| I don't mean to come off the wrong way, but as other have said..... Chick Magnet... We've gone to eventsn w/ Fozzy and I have come home with a pissed wife (not really). But it does get that bad. Back in the day a buddy of mine had a small dog and we used to watch/borrow his dog just for the chick getting qualities of the animal. Also, I'm a 6'1" athletic built man, 100% Hetro. Sports cars, toys, the whole nine. I am proud to "rock-out" with my dog everywhere I go. (I appologize if anyone was offended by my language!) Last edited by fozzybear; 03-17-2005 at 07:37 AM. |
